What Is Plot Vastu?
Plot Vastu is the traditional Indian practice of reading land for health, wealth and harmony. I combine these old principles with AI-assisted spatial analysis, and the advice you get is specific and practical. No demolition or structural changes are needed.
Plot Vastu Consultation: Land Selection and Vastu Analysis
Buying land is one of the biggest decisions most people make. Vastu Shastra gives you a clear way to judge a plot by its directions and its natural features. My plot Vastu consultation helps you decide with your eyes open, before you commit to the purchase.
I look at several things. The shape and dimensions of the land come first, then the direction it faces, its slope and its elevation. I check how close it is to water bodies, where the roads run and what the soil is like. And I lay the Vastu Purusha Mandala grid over every plot.
Vastu Shastra traditionally favours north-facing and east-facing plots. North belongs to Kubera, the deity of wealth, and east gets the morning sun. West-facing and south-facing plots can do just as well with the right layout and entrance. For every type of plot, I give construction guidance specific to its direction.
I also study the Brahmasthan, the central zone of the plot. The Ishaan corner (northeast) suits prayer, meditation and water placement. The Agneya corner (southeast) is checked for the fire element and kitchen placement. Knowing these zones before construction saves years of costly changes later.
The land may be for a home, a commercial site or an industrial unit. In each case the consultation gives you a clear answer. I work with clients in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai, and consult online across India.
How Vastu Shastra Evaluates a Plot: Plot Vastu Consultation
A plot’s Vastu starts before the first brick goes in. The Vastu Purusha Mandala gives each part of the plot a directional meaning. Ishan (northeast) should be the lowest point. Keep it open to water and morning light so that prana can enter and collect there.
Never store water in Agni (southeast). Nairutya (southwest) should be the highest and heaviest corner, since it is the direction of earth and stability. Vayu (northwest) rules air, so keep it clear for natural ventilation.
I also check the Pancha Bhuta, or five-element, balance of the land itself. Soil composition tells me about the earth element. I look for underground water. Solar orientation shows the fire element. Wind patterns and how open the sky is above the plot cover air and space.
Before any purchase, I check for geopathic stress. Plots over underground water veins, soil anomalies or geological faults push disturbance up into whatever is built there. That disturbance affects the health of future occupants, however good the construction. I never skip this check in a plot assessment.
I use nakshatra timing in every plot consultation too. I suggest auspicious dates for registration, foundation laying and the groundbreaking ceremony, so that your plot decision fits both classical Vastu and your own birth chart.
How to check Vastu for land yourself, before you pay a token
Short answer: stand on the plot with a phone compass, note which side the road is on, look at the shape and the slope, and see what sits around it. Ten minutes on site tells you whether the land is worth a proper check.
- Facing: stand at the gate looking into the plot and read the compass. Write down the exact degree, not just "east". A plot that reads 120° faces south-east, not east.
- Shape: square and rectangular plots are easiest. A cut corner matters most in the north-east; an extension towards the north-east is usually fine.
- Slope: pour a little water or watch where rain runs. Land that falls towards the north or east is preferred; land that falls towards the south-west is the one I look at closely.
- Roads: note every road touching the plot and whether a road hits it head-on (a T-junction). That is a veedhi shoola, and the direction of it decides how serious it is.
- Surroundings: a tall building, a transformer, a temple shadow or a drain on one side changes the reading. Take one photo in each direction.
