What is an online Vastu consultation?

An online Vastu consultation is a full Vastu reading of your home done from your floor plan, a compass reading and a few photos, followed by a video call and a written list of remedies. Nobody comes to your house, and nothing is broken.

I have done most of my home work this way for years. A flat in Pune, a builder floor in Gurgaon, a family home in Kolkata or a house in New Jersey: the method is the same. What I need is an honest plan and the right north. What you get is my full attention for 45 minutes and a report you can act on.

I am Saurabh Sen. I studied at IIM Ahmedabad and spent 15+ years at IBM, Philips and Mercedes-Benz R&D before I took up Vastu and astrology full time. That engineering habit shows in how I work: measure first, then explain, then change only what is worth changing.

What do I check in your home, zone by zone?

I place your plan on the 16-zone Vastu grid and go through every zone, then the main door and its pada, then each room against the zone it sits in. The short version of the rules I apply:

  • North-east: kept light and open; pooja or study belongs here, a toilet or heavy storage does not.
  • South-east: the fire zone and the best place for the kitchen. North-west is my second choice for a kitchen.
  • South-west: the heaviest, steadiest zone; the master bedroom and heavy storage go here.
  • North-west: air and movement; guest room, a child's room or the second kitchen choice.
  • North: kept uncluttered; it is the first zone I clear in most homes.
  • Centre (Brahmasthan): open, no heavy furniture, no toilet.

Is an online Vastu consultation accurate without a site visit?

For a flat or a house with a clear plan, yes. Vastu works on directions and zones, and both can be read exactly from a plan with north marked correctly. The two things that go wrong online are a wrong north and a plan that is not to scale, so I check the compass photos against the building's position on Google Maps before the call. A visit is worth it for a plot you are about to buy, a large office or a factory, or a home where no plan exists. For those I offer a site visit in Bengaluru.

How your birth chart fits in

Does my birth chart change the Vastu advice for my home?

The zone rules are the same for everyone. Your chart changes the order in which I fix things. If your Moon is under strain, for example, I look harder at the north-west of your home; if you are running a Saturn period, the west gets more of my attention. When you send birth details with your plan, I use them for that ranking. If you want the chart read in full alongside the home, that is a separate session: Astro-Vastu, chart and home together.

Vastu for home: a room-by-room guide

Vastu Shastra assigns each part of a home to a direction and an element. The table below shows the commonly recommended placements. Most homes do not match all of them. That is normal, and most imbalances can be corrected without breaking walls.

Online home Vastu for NRIs

If you live abroad, you can have your home in India (or the home you live in now) reviewed online for the same ₹1,499 per floor. Share the floor plan, photos and the north direction on WhatsApp; the session happens by video call. See fees for NRIs.

A client’s only toilet was in the north-east, the zone Vastu keeps clear. Moving it wasn’t possible, so we used Astro-Vastu corrections without any demolition, timed to her birth chart, while she continued her medical treatment.

    01What does an online Vastu consultation cover?
    Every zone of your home and every room in it: the main door and its pada, the master bedroom, sleeping directions, the kitchen and the cooking direction, children’s rooms and the study, toilets, the pooja corner and the north-east. You get a written report that goes zone by zone and puts the corrections in order of importance.
    02Do I need to break walls or do renovation for Vastu corrections?
    No. I only suggest changes you can make without breaking anything: moving furniture, turning a bed, shifting what is stored where, colour, light and a few placed elements. The same remedies work in an owned home and in a rented flat.
    03How do I share my home layout for an online Vastu consultation?
    Send the floor plan (a hand sketch is fine), a compass reading taken at your main door and a few room photos, on WhatsApp or by email. You don’t need an architect’s drawing. My Vastu compass page shows how to take the reading correctly.
    04What are the most common Vastu problems in Indian residential homes?
    The ones I see most: a toilet in the north-east, a kitchen in the north-east, the master bedroom away from the south-west, a cluttered north, a heavy centre, and a main door on a weak pada of the south or west wall. Each of these can be corrected without demolition; how much each matters depends on the rest of the plan.

    08Can I send a hand-drawn floor plan for an online Vastu consultation?
    Yes. If you don't have the builder's plan, draw the layout by hand as accurately as you can, with the rooms, doors and windows. I place my 16-zone grid over your drawing, the same way I do with a printed plan.
    09How do I take the compass reading for my home?
    Stand at your main entrance, face into the house and note the reading on your phone compass. Keep the phone flat and away from steel doors or grilles, and take it twice to be sure.
    10Why do you ask for the Google location of my house?
    It lets me check how the building actually sits, which way the roads run and what is around the plot. A plan alone does not show that, and it changes some of the advice.
    11What does the written Vastu report contain?
    A cover with your main door direction, your own floor plan with my 16-zone grid on it, and then room-by-room remedies that say what to do, where, and with what. It reaches you within 48 hours of our call.
    08Can I book an online Vastu consultation if I don’t live in Bangalore?
    Yes. I work from Begur in Bengaluru, and the online session runs the same way from any city in India or abroad: your floor plan, a 45-minute call with me, and the report in 48 hours. About 6 in 10 of my clients live outside Bangalore, and almost all of that work is done online. If a visit outside Bangalore is truly needed, I will come, with the travel and stay costs paid by the client.
