What is Astro-Vastu? Your kundli and your home, read as one
Astro Vastu is the work of reading two maps side by side: your birth chart and the floor plan of the place you live or work. You may also see it written as astro vaastu, vaastu astrology, kundli vastu or vastu jyotish. The spelling changes; the idea does not.
Here is how I put it to every client who asks: Astrology studies time and Vastu studies space, and every life depends on both. When someone wears a gemstone or has done Vastu and still feels stuck, I read the two together: if strengthening a planet in the chart also strengthens its aspect on a house that troubles them, I calm that through the home; and when the chart has no remedy for something they need, I find it in the house, and the other way round.
Why astrology and Vastu Shastra belong on the same table
In the classical texts, every direction has a ruling planet. So a chart is never only about you, and a house is never only about walls. When a planet becomes important in your life, because its dasha has started or a transit has woken it up, the part of your home that belongs to it starts to matter more too.
A Vastu consultant working alone sees a north-east toilet and calls it a problem for the whole family. An astrologer working alone sees a weak Jupiter and suggests a remedy for the person. I look at both and ask a different question: whose Jupiter, in which period, and how much of that corner do they actually use every day? Two brothers can share one flat and need different advice.
Planets and their directions: what I check when a dasha runs
This is the short reference I use. The direction comes from the classical tradition. The third column is what I look at in that zone when the planet's mahadasha or antardasha is running for the person in front of me.

Astro Vastu remedies: when the chart and the house help each other
Most people reach me after trying one side only. They have worn a stone for a year, or moved the bed after a Vastu check, and the main worry has not moved. That is where the two systems need to talk.
Take a simple case. Say Mars is weak in a chart and someone has been told to strengthen it for courage at work. Mars also casts its full aspect on the fourth, seventh and eighth houses from where it sits. If one of those is the house of marriage and the marriage is already under strain, a stronger Mars can add heat there too. I do not ask the person to drop the chart remedy. I settle the south of the home instead, so the help for work stays and the friction at home eases.
It also works the other way. Some charts simply have no comfortable remedy for what a person needs right now. The house often does. A quiet north-east, a better bed position in the south-west, the right use of the west: these are small, practical changes, and none of them needs a wall broken. I do not sell stones, yantras or pujas, so my advice is not shaped by anything I might sell you.
A father in Whitefield: one family, both maps
One client in Whitefield had lost his wife and was bringing up his young daughter with his mother's help, while work was a struggle.
