Short answer: As a Vastu consultant for Whitefield, I work mostly online: from the builder’s plan, a compass reading at your own flat or villa door and the location, for ₹1,499 per floor, with a written report within 48 hours. Site visits in Whitefield are quoted on request, usually for villas, large homes or plans that are unclear.
Most of the homes I see from Whitefield are one of two kinds: a flat in a big apartment complex near the tech parks, or a villa in a gated community further out. Many owners are buying their first home, and a fair number are families who moved back from abroad and chose from a brochure before they had seen the site.
What I check first in a Whitefield home
- Your own door, not the tower. In a large complex the towers face every direction. The facing that matters is the entrance of your flat, so I read that with a compass, not the brochure’s north arrow.
- The kitchen and the utility balcony. Builders place the utility area and the gas bank where the plan has room. I check whether the stove still sits in the south-east part of the kitchen.
- Toilets on the north-east line. In compact floor plates a toilet often lands right on the north-east of the flat. It can be balanced without breaking walls, but I want to know before you book.
- Villa extensions. Gated villas often get a room, a deck or a pergola added later. I mark these separately, because they can change the shape of the house on the grid.
A father in Whitefield came to me after losing his wife, living with his young daughter and his mother, worried about how he would hold the family together and struggling at work. I first balanced his flat with Vastu, and he then came back for an Astro-Vastu reading. Today he understands what he is going through, is much calmer, and gives his time to every member of the family.
Two neighbours in the same tower, with identical plans, can still need different advice from me. The flat is the same; the people living in it are not, and their birth charts lean on different directions of the home.
Comparing units before you book
| What to compare | Why it matters in Whitefield complexes |
|---|---|
| Facing of the flat door | Towers are turned in many directions; each unit differs |
| Position of the kitchen stove | Utility and gas lines are fixed by the builder |
| Toilet on the north-east line | Common in compact layouts; better to avoid if you can |
| Balconies on north or east | Gives the light and open side Vastu prefers |
| Villa garden side | Open space works best on the north and east |
| Room added later on the terrace | Can change how the house reads on the grid |
If you are still choosing, my flat-buying checklist has the full list.
The guides for east, north, south and west facing homes explain each entrance.
For gated homes, my villa Vastu page goes deeper into gardens, gates and extra floors.
Nearby areas I cover from this page
- Varthur and Gunjur: newer villa layouts and plotted communities, often with gardens on one side only.
- Kadugodi and Hope Farm: a mix of older independent houses and mid-size apartment blocks near the metro.
- ITPL Road and Brookefield: large complexes, many rented flats and plenty of work-from-home corners.
- Hoodi and Mahadevapura: covered on my East Bangalore Vastu page, along with the rest of the Outer Ring Road side.
- Towards the south-east: families near Sarjapur and Agara often use my HSR Layout page. Those near the tech parks further south use my Electronic City page.
Online or a site visit
Whitefield is about an hour from my Begur studio on a working day, so most families here start online. The builder’s plan with north marked, a photo of the compass at your door and the address give me what I need. I suggest a site visit when the villa is large, the plan does not match what was built, or there have been additions. For the rest of the city, see my main Vastu consultant in Bangalore page.
Whitefield careers, a new home and your chart
A lot of Whitefield owners buy in the middle of a busy career phase: a promotion, an onsite stint, a move back to India. When I read the birth chart with the floor plan, I can see which zone of the new home deserves attention first for the person whose period is driving those changes. The plan alone treats every family the same.
For example, the 10th house of the chart, the house of career, is tied to the south of the home. If the earning member’s 10th house is under pressure in the current dasha, I look hard at the south zone of the flat before suggesting anything else. If you want that combined view, it is what I do in my home and horoscope consultation; the ₹1,499 home check stays the easy place to start.
Ready for your own Whitefield home to be checked? It is ₹1,499 per floor online, a 45-minute session from your plan, or you can come to the Begur studio by appointment. The written report reaches you within 48 hours, and site visits are quoted on request. Book your session here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you visit homes in Whitefield?
Yes, a site visit can be arranged and is quoted on request, depending on the size of the home. Most Whitefield flats are done online first, because the builder’s plan and a compass photo at the door usually give me everything I need.
I am buying from a brochure plan. Can you compare two or three units?
Yes. Send the plans of the units you are considering with north marked and the tower position, and I will tell you which one sits better before you pay the booking amount. Comparing units before booking is far easier than correcting one later.
Our villa has a garden on one side only. Does that matter?
It does. Open space is best on the north and east of a plot. If your garden is on the south or west, planting taller trees there and keeping the north and east sides light and open helps. I mark these corrections on your plan.
We moved back from abroad and the flat was bought without a Vastu check. Is it too late?
No. Almost everything can be corrected without construction: room use, bed and desk direction, the stove position within the kitchen, colours and light. I start with the changes that need no work at all and tell you clearly if anything needs more.
