I am Saurabh Sen, IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, based in Begur, Bengaluru. Noida is a planned city of numbered sectors and large group housing, which suits online work well: the drawings are usually clean, and the patterns repeat across societies.
Noida and Greater Noida layouts, and where they go wrong
Towers along the Noida Expressway
Societies in Sectors 93 to 168 along the Expressway are mostly tall towers with four to eight flats per floor around a central core. With so many flats on one floor, entrances end up in every zone. A south-west main door is common in corner units, and so is a door opening straight onto the kitchen. Neither needs a contractor. I use threshold strips, door colour, lighting and where the shoe rack goes to steady that zone. The main door page shows which zones I treat as strong and which as weak.
Older sector societies
Sectors such as 50, 61, 62, 71, 76, 78 and 137 have a lot of mid-rise and high-rise housing from the 2000s and early 2010s. These flats are often L-shaped, with a balcony bitten out of one corner. When the missing piece is the south-west, the home loses its heaviest, most stable zone, and that is the one cut I always take seriously. When it is the north-east, I mostly tell people to stop worrying and keep the balcony open.
Greater Noida West flats
In Greater Noida West, or Noida Extension, many buyers are compact two and three BHK owners, some still waiting for possession. Two things come up again and again. The first is a toilet backing onto the north-east, where builders stack bathrooms to save plumbing. The second is the master bedroom: in a compact plan the south-west room is often the smallest, so the couple takes the north-west or east room instead. In a small flat I usually suggest the south-west room even if it is tight, and I use toilet Vastu remedies for the north-east bathroom.
Plot houses in Noida and Greater Noida
Authority plots in the older Noida sectors and in Greater Noida’s Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta sectors are mostly regular, so the facing and the road matter more than shape. Checklist: what I need from you
- Your exact unit plan with tower and flat number. Mirrored units across a core can put the door and kitchen in opposite zones, so the typical floor plan is not enough.
- A compass video on your phone: one reading standing at the main door looking out, one at the centre of the flat.
- For a plot house, the plot size, the road side and a photo from the gate.
- Birth dates of family members if you want the remedies ranked by your charts.
- The one or two things you most want help with.

When a visit is worth asking for
Most Noida flats never need one. I suggest asking for a site visit only when there is no reliable drawing, when a house has been extended floor by floor over the years, or for a commercial or industrial unit where the machinery layout matters. It is arranged on request.
The flat and the birth chart
Sometimes the issue at home and the period in a chart point to the same corner. Someone in a Rahu period with a cluttered south-west store room, for example, gets that room sorted before anything else. That is the Astro-Vastu way of setting priorities, and it is part of the same session when you share birth dates.

Our Expressway flat has a south-west entrance. Should we sell?
No. A south-west door is one of the most common things I see in tower flats, and it is handled with simple changes at the door and inside. I would not sell a flat over it.
There is a toilet in the north-east of my Noida Extension flat. What can I do?
Keep it dry and clean, keep the door shut, use light colours and a small exhaust that runs. The report lists the full set for your plan.
Can a tenant in a Noida society follow your remedies?
