Short answer: Business and finance astrology reads the 7th house for trade and partners, the 10th for enterprise, the 2nd and 11th for money and gains, and the 6th and 8th for debt and risk. Your dasha shows when to start, expand or hold. It supports planning; it is not investment advice and cannot promise profit.
Why I read business charts the way I do
I am an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, and I spent more than fifteen years at IBM, Philips and Mercedes-Benz R&D before practising full time. That background shapes how I read a founder’s chart. I look for what is strong, where the risk sits and when to move, much like reviewing a plan before it goes to the board. Most business trouble I hear about comes down to timing and people, not the idea, and that is where a chart is most useful.
The houses a founder should know
| House | What it covers | The question it answers |
|---|---|---|
| 2nd | Savings, family capital, cash in hand | Can you hold cash through a slow year? |
| 6th | Loans, competitors, staff | How you handle borrowing and rivalry |
| 7th | Partners, clients, trade | Who you build with, and on what terms |
| 8th | Investors’ money, sudden swings, tax | How you handle other people’s money and shocks |
| 10th | Enterprise, reputation | Whether you are seen as the face of the business |
| 11th | Gains, networks, recurring income | Whether effort turns into revenue |
A strong 10th with a weak 11th often shows a founder who is respected but undercharges. A busy 6th and 8th suggests a business that grows on borrowed money, which can work, provided the dasha supports it. I read these together, not one at a time.
The same houses have a place in the office. The 10th house relates to the south of a building, and a founder with a strong 10th usually does well with a cabin on that side, with a solid wall behind the chair.
The planets of trade and money
- Mercury: trade, negotiation, contracts and numbers. Founders in sales, consulting and fintech usually need it in decent shape.
- Jupiter: capital, banks, advice and expansion. A well placed Jupiter tends to bring good mentors and patient money.
- Saturn: process, staff and scale. It builds slowly and rewards systems over shortcuts.
- Venus: design, consumer brands, hospitality and anything people buy for pleasure.
- Rahu: technology, new markets and fast growth that carries matching risk.
- The Sun: authority and government work, including tenders and licences.
Partners and the date you sign
Many founder questions turn out to be partner questions. When two or three people are starting together, I read each person’s 7th house and how the charts relate, and check whose dasha supports risk right now. I don’t tell you whether to trust someone. I show where the charts suggest friction, so you can put it into the shareholder agreement while everyone is still friendly.
For incorporation, a launch or a big contract, I pick a muhurat that suits the founders’ charts and avoids Rahu kaal and the rikta tithis. Business names matter too: I check them with name numerology for a business and on my name numerology page.
Start, expand or hold
A dasha linked to the 10th, 7th or 11th lord usually supports starting or expanding. When the 6th, 8th or 12th is more active, I suggest consolidating: clear debt, tighten costs, fix the team. Neither is good or bad; each asks for a different kind of work.
Saturn’s movement next year is worth planning around. It enters Aries on 3 Jun 2027, slips back into Pisces on 20 Oct 2027 and re-enters Aries on 23 Feb 2028. Decisions tied to the houses it touches in your chart may open, pause and reopen in that rhythm. The new financial year begins on 1 Apr 2027, and Ugadi follows on 7 Apr, a day many families in Karnataka treat as a good start for new work.
What I don’t do
I do not give stock tips, trading days or crypto calls, and I do not tell anyone where to put their money. For that, speak to a SEBI-registered investment adviser and your CA. What the chart can show is your temperament with risk, from the 5th and 8th houses, and the periods when big financial commitments are better supported. That is planning input, not advice on any product.
When the office is part of it
If the business runs from a shop, office or factory, its layout matters as much as the dates. My office Vastu page covers that, and the finance and business stability guide ties chart and space together. If you are deciding between an MBA and starting up, education astrology helps; if the plan is to build abroad, see foreign settlement astrology. All of these sit under my career astrology guide.
A founder’s chart beside the office floor plan
A business reading tells you when to start, expand or hold. Looking at the office or shop with it shows whether the space backs those decisions: where the founder sits, where cash and records are kept, and which zone needs work before a big launch.
Here is a typical link. A founder in a Mercury period, the planet of trade, does well with an open, uncluttered north, the side Mercury rules, so I would move heavy storage out of that side before the next big contract. The ₹1,499 kundli reading is a sensible way to begin. When the business and the space need one plan, I offer a combined chart and office Vastu consultation.
Book a business reading
A reading is a 45-minute call, online or at my studio in Begur, for ₹1,499 for one kundli, with written remedies within 48 hours. If you want partners’ charts or an incorporation muhurat as well, tell me when you book and I will confirm the fee. Details are on my consultation page, or pick a time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can astrology tell if my business will succeed?
No chart can promise success. It can show your strengths as a founder, where risk tends to come from, and which periods support starting or expanding. Market, product and execution still decide the result. I use the chart to help you plan the timing and spot weak points early.
Which house is for business in astrology?
The 7th house is the main one, for trade, clients and partners. The 10th shows enterprise and reputation, and the 11th shows gains. I also read the 2nd for cash and the 6th and 8th for debt and investors’ money.
Is finance astrology the same as investment advice?
No. I don’t recommend stocks, funds, trading days or any product. Finance astrology shows your temperament with risk and the periods when large commitments are better supported. For investments, speak to a SEBI-registered adviser and your CA.
Can you check compatibility with my business partner?
Yes. I read each partner’s chart, the 7th house in both, and whose dasha supports risk now. I point out where friction is likely so you can cover it in the agreement. Tell me the number of partners when you book and I will confirm the fee.
What is a good date to register a company?
I choose from the founders’ charts and the panchang: a supportive weekday and nakshatra, avoiding Rahu kaal and the rikta tithis (the 4th, 9th and 14th). The registrar’s working days come first, so I give you a few options to fit around them.
