Jathagam, porutham and what I add
In Kovai the horoscope is the ஜாதகம், jathagam, and when two families meet over a proposal the talk soon turns to porutham. Tamil families usually count ten poruthams, and rajju is the one elders worry about most. I respect that system. What I add is a full reading of both charts: the 7th house, its lord, Venus, and the dasha each person will run in the early years of marriage. Thai, Aadi and the wedding calendar
Everyone in Tamil Nadu knows the saying “Thai pirandhal vazhi pirakkum”, and Thai is a busy month for weddings. Aadi, by contrast, is a month most families keep clear of marriages and housewarmings. Rahu kalam gets checked before signing papers or setting out on a long drive. If you are choosing a day, I look at the panchang together with your own chart, because the best day for the town is not always the best day for you.
What Coimbatore asks about

When the next generation takes over the unit
A pattern I see with Kovai families: the father built a foundry, a spinning unit or a pump assembly line over thirty years, and now a son or daughter with an engineering degree, sometimes a few years in Bengaluru or overseas, has to decide whether to come home and run it. The parents want to know when to hand over. The child wants to know whether this is the right period to leave a salaried job, and whether to grow the old line or start a new product.
I read both charts for this, one session each. In the parent’s chart I look at the 4th and 10th houses and the dasha they are entering, which often tells me whether stepping back now feels natural or forced. In the younger person’s chart I study the 10th and 11th houses, Saturn’s position and the next antardasha. Read side by side, the two charts often point to a sensible handover year.
