Short answer: You can work with me as your Vastu consultant in Ahmedabad without anyone travelling. I read Amdavad homes online: a 45-minute video call on your floor plan, ₹1,499 for one flat or one floor, and a written report in 48 hours. Plots are checked online too, at ₹1,499. Shops, offices, factories and site visits are on request.
My name is Saurabh Sen. I have been practising Vastu and Vedic astrology for over ten years and have worked with more than 300 clients. My studio is in Begur, Bengaluru, and you can see how I work there on my Bangalore consultation page.
Many Ahmedabad clients ask me about a shop or office along with the home.
Pols, bungalows and new towers
Ahmedabad gives me three very different kinds of plan, and each one asks a different first question.
Pol houses in the old city
A pol house in Khadia, Raipur or Kalupur is narrow and deep, shares its side walls with the neighbours, and opens only to the pol lane. You cannot pick the facing, because the lane decides it. The centre of these houses often holds the stair or a small open-to-sky chowk, so the Brahmasthan needs care. I usually work room by room from the front door inward, because that is the only way such a long plan can be read fairly.
Bungalows and tenements in societies
Older societies in Navrangpura, Paldi, Vastrapur and Satellite have rows of bungalows on both sides of an internal road. That means half the street faces one way and half the other. Families often ask me whether their side of the road is the unlucky one. Usually it is not; the position of the gate, the otla and the main door decides far more than the facing itself.
High-rises on the western side
Along SG Highway, Bopal, Shela and Gota, most new homes are 2 and 3 BHK flats in towers. Here I look at the unit, not the plot: door zone, kitchen, and the bedroom of whoever earns.
Sun, heat and the agashi
Ahmedabad summers are long and very hot. The old pol houses dealt with it through thick walls, the chowk and the terrace, the agashi. Vastu thinking points the same way: keep the south and west heavier and more shaded, keep the north and east lighter. On a bungalow, the overhead tank and any heavy store room are better in the south-west, and my page on water tank placement explains why. On a flat, I check which rooms take the western sun after lunch, because that is where people stop sleeping well in May.
How we work together
Send the plan with north marked, one compass photo from the main door, and the birth dates of the family. We go through the zones on video, you ask whatever you want, and the report follows within two days with remedies ranked by what to do first. Nothing needs demolition. Fees for all services are on the pricing page.
Shop below, family above
In Maninagar, Naranpura and the older parts of the city, many families run a shop or a small office on the ground floor and live on the floors above. Vastu reads such a building as two plans that share one entrance and one stair. I check where the cash counter sits, which way the owner faces while working, and whether the staircase up to the home climbs through the north-east or the centre.
A common problem in such buildings is the home kitchen sitting right above the shop entrance, or the stair landing straight in front of the family’s door. Both can usually be managed with door placement, colour and how the landing is used, without touching the structure. The shop is quoted separately, as commercial work.
Uttarayan and the terrace
Come January, every terrace in the city fills up for Uttarayan, and that is a good moment to look at it with Vastu in mind. The water tank and any heavy store belong in the south-west. The north-east part of the terrace should stay open and clean, not stacked with old kites, broken chairs and spare tiles. If you are adding a room up there, keep it to the south or west, and send me the plan before work starts.
Frequently asked questions
Can a pol house with shared walls be corrected without construction?
In most cases, yes. Shared walls and a fixed lane facing are limits we work inside. The corrections go into room use, placement, colour and what sits in the centre of the house.
Our bungalow in a Satellite society faces west. Is that a problem?
Not by itself. A west-facing bungalow can do very well when the entrance sits in the right part of the west wall. My west-facing house guide covers the details, and we check yours on the call.
Can you compare flats in Shela or Gota from the builder’s brochure?
Yes. Send the unit plans with north marked and I compare them before you pay the booking amount.
Can the Vastu session be in Gujarati?
No, I do not speak Gujarati. I take sessions in Hindi, English or Bengali. Many Ahmedabad families are comfortable in Hindi, and I keep the language plain. If an elder prefers Gujarati, a family member can help on the call. If you want a kundli reading as well, see my page as an astrologer in Ahmedabad.
Do you check shops on CG Road or units in GIDC?
Yes, but commercial and industrial Vastu are quoted on request, depending on the size of the space. Message me with the plan and I will tell you what is involved.
We have a shop on the ground floor and live upstairs. Is that one session?
The home floors are ₹1,499 each. The shop is quoted on its size, as commercial work. We can look at both on the same call.
Can we add a room on our terrace?
Often, yes. Keep it in the south or west part of the terrace and leave the north-east open. Send the plan before construction starts so we can check it together.
